The Associate Travel Agent Online Training Manual is made up of many chapters
that may be studied one at a time or all at once. Many people will
choose to print the Online ATA Training Manual and use it as a study
guide. The manual will give you an overview of the Travel Industry
and has all of the information you will need to pass the exam. Your
Online Associate Travel Agent Training
Manual and ATA Exam
are located in your private ATA Online Community Center under Training Manual. The ATA Exam is a multiple choice
20-question exam based on the material in the online ATA Training
Manual. This is an auto grading exam and will automatically present
a link to your Credentials Application when you pass your exam.
Before taking your exam, be sure to have your digital passport style photograph ready to email to the credentials department or upload it from the link on the Credentials Application.

ID number, to credentials@gttrends.com
. Most Kinko's, MBEs and Photo Developers will be able to scan your
photo for you if you do not have a scanner, please request a 300
dpi image if possible. They will probably be happy to put it on
a CD for you so you can use it over and over.
Customizing your new business opportunity web site is easy. Go
to the ATA Member Login
on located to the left. Login your ATA ID number and password to
enter into your private ATA Online Community Center. Click on the menu option "My Replicated Website" from the
Business Tools dropdown menu to customize your business opportunity web site.
Your Replicate Business Opportunity Web Site address is: www.Yourgttrendsnumber.gttrends.net,
for example, www.1234567.gttrends.net.
All orders submitted on your personal business opportunity web
site can be placed where you choose! To select the automatic placement
of orders from your web site, or to choose your GT Trends email
address. log into your ATA Online Community Center and click on the
menu option Edit Personal Info from the Member Center dropdown menu.
For automatic Order Placement, click the link labeled “EDIT Your Replicated Website's Default Member Placement”.
For your individual GT Trends email address, go to the section
titled “GT Trends Forwarding Email:” and click the link labeled "EDIT" type in your chosen
email address in the top box. In the bottom box type in your primary
personal email address. Any email sent to yourname@gttrends.net
email address will forward to your primary personal email address.
This protects your private email address and gives you a company
GT Trends email presence.
To establish your Associate Travel Agent status to travel vendors
and suppliers you may need to show your business card along with
your Letter of Agency Verification and ATA Photo Name Badge. Your Business Card will also be used to introduce
potential customers and associates to the GT Trends business opportunity
web site and online Travel Center booking web site. Business card
order forms are only available for shipment in the United States.
For all our Associate Travel Agents in other countries, you will
find official GT Trends downloadable business card graphics to take
to a local professional printer. You can find these in the Resources
and Tools Library in your private ATA Online
Community Center.
Remember "Shopper Login" registration is required prior to any bookings to be eligible
for commissions. Become familiar with the way to use the travel
booking engine and how to complete the Shopper Login Registration. You want to be able to walk someone through this part
of the site so they can see the incredible choices and discounts
available. You must complete the Shopper Loggin Registration on YOUR Travel Center located at www.YOURURL.gttrendscom.
In order to accurately track commissions and travel leads, every user, including you, must register in YOUR travel center. This assures that YOUR leads will always be redirected to your travel center even if they don’t remember your URL and that any bookings you process for clients through your replicated travel center are accurately tracked.
To register with your travel center please direct your browser to www.userid.gttrends.com
And click the “Shopper Login” button. Next click the “Join Now” button in the blue “Not a Member” box. Complete the enrollment form; please be aware that this login information will be different than your ATA Member login information. Your username will be your email address and the password is all numbers. You do not have to register for the 3-day 2-night hotel stay to use the travel center. Once you have registered with your travel center use your browser’s “back” button to return to the travel center home page or you can close and reopen your browser. You can now login in by clicking the “Shopper Login” button, and entering your login information in the “Already a Member” box. You can verify that you are correctly registered with your travel center by logging in to your online community center and selecting the "Travel Leads Manager" option from the "Business Tools" drop down menu.
Get familiar with how you will receive Compensation. The option Compensation, on the menu to left,
offers more clarification on the GT Trends CAB program. Ask your
introducer/enroller if you have any questions. Use the tools that
you choose to create excitement and interest in your prospects.
Walk people through the web site, hand out your business cards,
get people on conference calls and most importantly tie into your
active associates and their system. Make it a habit to check out
the web site as changes and enhancements are taking place every
day. Learn as much as you can about the travel industry. Become
a student of your new business. The best way to learn is to teach
someone else. Take a cruise, go on a FAM trip or try a Group Tour.
